All WU VM's are ending with the above error. Other near identical computer has run work. Windows 8.1 professional. Reset project, making sure newest VDI are downloaded. Updated to VBOX 5.1.28 and matching extensions. Updated to BOINC 5.1.8. Turned of Windows Firewall (it had blocked inbound but I removed the rule. Turned off the firewall service just in case) Only difference between this machine and other is this one is hooked up to the router/modem by ethernet patch cable (using it to type this message, so internet available) and other is using wireless USB adapter. LHX@Home server status shows all green. BOINC is not a service install. User account is administrator and has all rights to BOINC data folders. BOINC is in D:\BOINC (just like all the other machines). VBOX has a Win 7 virtual machine with NAT ethernet (just like LHC VM's) and it accessed the internet so VBOX network drivers are installed. Turned back on the Windows 8.1 DNS caching service (usually just rely on the router's DNS cache). Win 8.1 Workstation and Server services are off since not using local networking services. The work units VM's end up in rescue console. Any diagnostic information you need from the rescue console? Do you know what the problem is immediately? |
