Hi,
I am running boinc on more than 40 hosts the only app that works (from LHC) is SixTrack.
I have installed latest vbox and boinc, getting tasks, but all vbox tasks are ending with error after a while, or after 100% computation.
Only on 2 hosts with win7 32 bit (all others are 64bit), I can run vbox tasks.
I have read all that can be read about settings, all fine and aligned.

So, can somebody tell me what I am missing?

Virtualbox need extension Pack, also see in message board Yeti's Checklist in Atlas application, if there are other problems.

Strictly speaking, the extension pack isn't an absolute requirement but it is useful for checking the VM is running ok.

A while back I accidentally installed VBox 32bit on one of my 64bit hosts and it took a few days of failures until I figured out the error, installed the correct version and all was well thereafter.

What can I say ...
I am running over 40 hosts, experiments are almost not possible.
I am running only sixtrack for now, but not enough WU, so 50% of time pc's are not used.
I can't find option to set projects per host, so if I enable Theory, Atlas ... they will be pushed to all hosts and will result with errors and waste of time.
You should provide some 'outofbox' solutions.

When I have some time, I'll open another account for testing purposes, until then ... only sixtrack, soory.

99% of hosts: Win7, 64bit, all updates, network with proxy authentication - this is my environment. I have several hosts without proxy, same errors.

Hi Igor,
Sorry I can't help with the proxy thing but you can set your host's Venue to Default, Home, Work or School. You can then define the Preferences for that venue. Therefore some hosts can be set to Home doing only Sixtrack, while others can be set to Work doing only Theory or any such combination of tasks you fancy.

Perfect TIP! I will assign few of them as one group, and start testing.
As far as I understand, my problem is proxy right? If so, has anybody some workaround? It is corporate network, I and I will break lot of polices if I modify proxy to pass-trough (without authentication) traffic.
