Maybe I'm missing out on something - or just "spoiled" from other projects?

The WUs are running several hours (i.e. Theory 12+ hours) and achieve "only" under 500 credits!

Could not find any recent discussions on this "topic".

I guess I'm the only one wondering what these WUs are actually really doing during these long time spans -- CPUs are not running anywhere near 100% - just idling around ...

Seems like a waste of time.

This project does seem lower than other especially the GPU project where you are able to do much more work. vs World Community and similar projects it's not so different.

If your objective is maximium credits then getting the most GPU's is the best.

Your 7700k looks like its working correctly now after some hickups at the begining. the VMs run smaller tasks in the VM that are shorter than 12hrs so there will not be a sustained 100%, however if you run 3+ then these are interleaved so not as noticable. I can run my computer at 100% all the time with more WU's

Not at all. One of your machines processed 67 valid Theory jobs lately:

Maybe you're more satisfied with that result than BOINC cobblestones ;-)

--> Toby Broom:
sorry, I don't understand what you are trying to tell me.

I'll try to explain a little bit further.
"VMs run smaller tasks in the VM" ????

I'm running 8 WUs (other projects) per PC at the same time on all machines (except one) - they all run/show usually 100% cpu-usage ...

I'm looking at the GFlops and compare it with earned credits.
There seems to be a big discrepancy among the different projects.

I'm not crunching for credits or badges - just curious when I seem to find unlogical (for me) "behaviours".

Yes, 67 completed - but while doing so the CPU was just at a load of max 50%.

It's not about satisfaction - I just would like to use the PCs at full load to optimize time/effort/what-ever ...

Have a nice day ...

Just started ATLAS on all PCs and all seems fine.

Getting a load of more or less 100% on all!

Maybe I will try Theory again - but 12 hours elapsed time and just idling ???

Some projects do impose on my nerves ...

Yes, there are differences between projects how they award credit. Here is one comparison table: https://boincstats.com/en/stats/-1/cpcs
