We would appreciate your help:

Brandnew installation of Windows 10 Creator, BOINC Manager 7.6.33 and VBox 5.1.26. All I get is 'Error while computing'!

Would just like to crunch without problems ...

My Windows 7 PCs work fine with this project.

Have a nice day ...

Your tasks are all ending after a relatively short period of time. That usually means that virtualization is not enabled on your PC (check the BIOS).

Also, BOINC can get set to the wrong state once it detects that virtualization is missing, and you have to re-set it.

A good place to start is Yeti's checklist, originally written for ATLAS but useful for the other applications also:

... you just made my day ...

Is running now.

Had to guess that "VT-x" is ment for intel virtualization.

THANKS.

We have all been there, in one form or another.

Amen, brother, some of us for longer than others...
I tried to install cvmfs on a second work machine today but, try as I may, I couldn't get it to work. The first machine seemed to be working fine and I could not see any differences. Eventually found that the squid proxy I was using had had the service halted. The old machine was routing around the failure by accessing the repositories directly; the new machine didn't know what to do as it had never seen the paths before. Restarted the squid service and everything started working...
