Dear Volunteers,

we are trying to improve the distribution of SixTrack tasks. If your host could process more tasks but during the project update you don't receive any, can you let us know and send us your client logging report? Please continue the thread "SixTrack Tasks NOT being distributed" opened by Eric here:

so that we can collect all the issues in only one place. In this way, we could try to better tune parameters controlling the distribution of tasks on the server side.

At the same time, we apologize for the loss of credits following the accidental deletion of lines in the main DB - please see message:

As you can see, task distribution is progressing regularly since the beginning of the week

The origins of the most crunching problem is a driver problem.
The computer need an update by installing the virtual box 5.1.26.
If the computer has this driver, then the most problems are solved and the computers runs quiet.
An update of the Nvidia driver is also recommnded for the other projects.
Since i made that operations the computers are OK

many thanks for the answer and the detailed explanation.

There are many problems we are trying to address, at different levels (eg failures in cgi, failures in upload/download, non-optimal user settings, non-optimal server settings, ...). Moreover, please keep in mind that SixTrack jobs do not need virtual box (contrary to apps from the LHC experiments), as we distribute executables dedicated to the most common platforms/architectures/CPU flags.

Hello Alessio,

have OpenSuse 42.3 and LHCatHome with only sixtrack running,
it say as message after refresh the project button:

No tasks sent
No tasks are available for SixTrack
Message from Server: Virtualbox is not installed
(Of course Virtualbox is not installed)

For example ComputerId: 10493043 Boinc 7.2.42

This message was months ago also active in the LHC-Server.

Edit: Have also sixtracktest in preferences active with the test-flag.
