Ubuntu 17.04 (also tried Windows 10)
VirtualBox 5.1 with extensions
BOINC 7.6.33

LHC virtual machines are not booting. When I manually attach the vdi to a new VM and boot it, the machine gets stuck at 1 on the automatic boot countdown. I have tried the debug CERN VM with the same result. I have uninstalled/reinstalled VirtualBox and reset the project in BOINC with no effect.

Any ideas?

Of course I finally figured it out right after I ask.

Ryzen 7 1700 on MSI B350M motherboard

Checked the bios and virtual machine support was listed as supported but there wasn't any way to control it. Updated the bios and the settings showed up and virtualization was in fact disabled.

Debug VM now boots to login. Project vdi boots fine.
