Newbie question: My computers are currently running several tasks from this application and since I am a curious person, I wonder how I can find out more about this simulation. Is there a details page for it or a contact given somewhere? How do I find out in general what these tasks my computers are crunching are actually about? Thanks. |

Is there a details page for it or a contact given somewhere? How do I find out in general what these tasks my computers are crunching are actually about? At the moment we are running a simulation called QCD_Pt-40toInf_fwdJet_bwdJet_Tune4C_2p76TeV-pythia8/GEN-SIM/ which I think translates as QCD (quantum chromodynamics) simulation with both forward and backward jets with p_T (transverse momentum) above 40 GeV/c using the package Pythia8 and "tune 4C" running the generator and detector simulation "tiers". I guess it's proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 2.76 TeV. I was just given it as a test of WMAgent submissions. I've been trying all year to get something more "interesting", like the lambda-0 decay scheme we were running last year with CRAB submission. |
