I got also a couple of these errors. here is one: https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/result.php?resultid=153487551

Thanks for spotting this. We found out that the input was malformed by mistake.
We have deleted the taskids belonging to that study, and continue testing.

Thanks a lot for the collaboration,

I have seen that there are "apps" for arm now as well. I have a banana pi (similar to raspberry pi) which runs linux (and maybe could also run android) and i could test these new ones if this could/would help you.
So my question is:
Is there a way to test these applications any time or do i have to wait for the next sixtrack tests tasks are released?

The current arm binaries are 64 bit (aarch64) armv8. Building a 32bit version for armv7 would need a little modification to the build system, but should be simple to do. It is in my todo list.

The sources for sixtrack live on github, so if you want to you can have a go yourself.

Try seeing if this will run on your system:

https://cernbox.cern.ch/index.php/s/epIgB6FZL6jhxJl

tested your version, it ran for about 45 minutes.
For Sixin i used this one:
https://github.com/SixTrack/SixTrack/blob/master/SixTest/fma/Sixin.zip

stderr.txt shows following:
00:24:15 (5831): Can't open init data file - running in standalone mode

01:10:08 (5831): called boinc_finish(0)

Seems good :)

fort.6 contains stdout which is a better place to look for errors, but that seems to have exited okay.

Dear all,

we have submitted a large batch of sixtracktest jobs (~60k tasks), in order to test with some reasonable statistics all the exe versions we are producing. In particular, we would like to hit hosts with freeBSD, openBSD, android OSs, as we have dedicated exes. For Mac we already have a bit of statistics, but if we have more it does not harm. We have also a 32bit version for arm.

So, any volunteer is more than welcome to update the LHC@home project, especially those with the aforementioned OS/CPUs. The tasks take ~45min on a linux desktop machine, on a i7-4790 CPU.

Thanks a lot in advance for your help!

I think this (little) host should be adequate for these tasks,
but the only I get is: "No tasks are available for sixtracktest", although 10k in queue.

The 32bit arm exe (i.e. arm v6 and v7) has not been pushed out yet.

The 64bit one, (arm v8) is up and running now.

Alessio should fix it soon :)

Your host is arm v7.

I made a short test with my tablet but all tasks failed: My Pixel C.
Looks like that I have no CPU type ;-)

This, even littler host has done work for a few other projects so is ready to go whenever the arm7 tasks appear.

The no CPU type is a BOINC bug with newer android versions.

The crash is due to android 8 (I think).

See:

would it be possible to get a logcat to see which syscall is getting blocked?

I suppose, you've set to run only one sixtracktest at a time :)

I am not so familiar with ADB debugging. Is the regular command "adb logcat" sufficient enough to show the necessary info in the log file or which additional options/filter must be set in the command? I can try to log this when some WUs are available again and I am quick enough to connect my tablet with my Desktop PC.

Setting the debug options in the BOINC client itself has no effect. Any debug flag selection changes (like "android_debug") were not saved.

They take about 165 minutes on my AMD E-450 CPU at 1.6 GHz on SuSE Leap 42.2.
