Please bear with us as we try to get sixtracktest working. I have submitted 100
short cases as so far all tests have failed. Thanks. Eric.

Current sixtracktest tasks are all failing with the following stderr:

<core_client_version>7.6.33</core_client_version> <![CDATA[ <stderr_txt> 05:34:56 (8064): called boinc_finish(0) </stderr_txt> <message> upload failure: <file_xfer_error> <file_name>wTest_hllhc10BaseB1_t01__1__s__62.31_60.32__6_8__5__45_1_sixvf_boinc6_2_1</file_name> <error_code>-161 (not found)</error_code> </file_xfer_error> </message> ]]>

Just got one sixtracktest task. It is in the back of my task queue so it might take some time before it is processed.

Thanks, best news I've heard for a long time!
(By the way I am innocent of recent problems
which are gradually sorting themselves out!). Eric.

......AND I see what appears to be Tasks in progress on sixtracktest.
(Don't really trust the Server Status in all respects though.

The task has finished rather quickly but unfortunately it failed with error -161. Same error as I posted three weeks ago. Here's the task https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/result.php?resultid=149955435

and here's stderr:

<core_client_version>7.6.33</core_client_version> <![CDATA[ <stderr_txt> 08:39:28 (9848): called boinc_finish(0) </stderr_txt> <message> upload failure: <file_xfer_error> <file_name>wTest_hllhc10BaseB1_t01__23__s__62.31_60.32__6_8__5__15_1_sixvf_boinc45_1_1</file_name> <error_code>-161 (not found)</error_code> </file_xfer_error> </message> ]]>

Yes, I have submitted about 70WUs - and for the moment the server status reports correct numbers.

We are updating our exes with new physics, extensions of present capabilities and bug fixes. Updates also involve some libraries which may impact the behaviour of sixtrack in the BOINC environment (eg zipping input/output files), hence we need a bit of more testing.

Big big thank to all volunteers running sixtracktest jobs and providing feedback!

Excuse me Harry, this would be so funny if it wasn't so sad. We finally get to use
sixtracktest and we can't get the results back. Breaks my heart. Eric.
P.S. The Error Code 161 is already a very valuable clue.
I am guessing Windows Host???

Yes, it is a Windows 7 64 bit host.

Don't worry Eric, you will always have us original SixTrack members here to help and don't worry too much about the problems since we will never give up.

Please forgive me for asking, but does sixtracktest require VM to run or is it a replacement for the old sixtrack?

You need the flag for Test-Applications in LHCatHome Settings.

Thx for reply. Which is priority at the moment - sixtrack or test?

I have finished a sixtracktest task without an error. Still waiting for validation. https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/result.php?resultid=150086066 What is odd that it was a resend as it already had one failure with -161 error and now it suddenly finished OK.

I've ceased crunching for the time being. I still have 225 WU's pending and 170 inconclusive.
Will they eventually get processed?
