If you move from one page to another and the page you are moving from updates but the one you are moving to does not, then you get lost in a limbo until it does. ID: 30479 · Reply Quote

However, for large projects (I forget how long ago this was, maybe ten years now?, but the main driver was SETI@Home) the load on the database server from the continual queries was driving down other essential database functions. So this delayed update was implemented; I'm not certain exactly how it's implemented, but I've surely been caught in limbo by it at SETI@Home several times. ID: 30483 · Reply Quote
