No idea, but unfortunately things folded again just when we thought it was fixed. I have no input to the solution, and in fact I've been working most of this week with Laurence to solve another problem we have getting CMS@Home to talk reliably to the CMS GRID servers. A personal VM at CERN is currently running merge jobs on the result files (given the connectivity, these run in just 90 seconds -- which really surprised me!). Looking to see if a VM with my GRID credentials can successfully write merged log files to CMS long-term (tape) storage.  |
