Hi,

like in other projects people are creating app_info.xml config files for LHC@Home Sixtrack to tell the BOINC manager to just use certain apps optimized for or working best on the own computer, e.g. on an Win64 machine with SSE2 and SSE3 support to just use the win64-sse2 and win64-pni app to not waste compute power.

In other projects this is common practice, but when you do this in LHC@Home using Sixtrack, things go mad. The LHC@Home server gives each validated WU at least 105.24 points even if the compute time was just 10 seconds :o So people COULD use anonymous platform and cancel all WUs whichs take longer than a few seconds, just compute the short ones and scam 1000 times the points a machine like his normally would get.

So please fix the credit issue with the anonymous platforms. Thank you.

If you need more information, just contact me :)
