Why the LHC's server status shows 495579 unsent WUs, still cannot get the new WUs?

There is a slight lag with scheduling due to the large number of short tasks. We're looking into it. We had a temporary issue with the feeder, now fixed.

Please try to reset your BOINC client and do "update" if you do not get any tasks soon.

Not fixed.
~400,000 wu available but "No tasks available for SixTrack".

Reset and update doesn't change anything

Same problem here. No new work since 5/16. Reset project did not help.

Exactly the same issues here, no amount of updating, resetting project or other things seems to fix it... been like this for a few days, sometimes resetting project worked but last 24hrs its been pot luck if I get a wu

Yes. I started requesting SixTrack jobs yesterday. I got, and completed, two, but now it's saying none are available. The server status page suggests otherwise.

I haven't had any problems today to download sixtrack WUs. About 100 on my host at home. There are also some ATLAS tasks remaining that I downloaded a couple of days ago. My preferences currently are: ATLAS and sixtrack only, 2 CPUs and no limit for # of jobs.

[edit]They are all resends (_2 or _3) so somebody had aborted them or they were abandoned or had some other problems. All have a 4/5 day deadline.

whereas the Project Status Page shows 1.388.343 unsent Sixtrack WUs at this point of time, on all my machines I get the massage "No tasks available for Sixtrack" when trying to download new WUs.

How come?

Upload and download issues, some task are close to reach deadline now.

Seeing this issue now.
452802 showing in unsent column and server status shows all green on all processes but this client reports no Six Track is available.

About 16 minutes later some 6-track started flowing.

And I have about 14 finished Theory tasks sitting there *pending* for a long time and that usually doesn't happen

The sixtrack task you linked is marked "Aborted by user" if you look inside the task details.

This is the Sixtrack I am talking about and why would the 2 X86 get credit when my X64 finished it first?

MINE is the X64 task and the ones that got credit are the two linux (that doesn't surprise me) and they are the X86 computers

That link I used at first says *can't find workunit* now.......I always check everything including stderr's

I wouldn't mention a task I aborted.

(and I have plenty of those since I watch the VM Console and if one of those first set of [INF] are Failed I abort them instead of wasting 20 minutes for them to become Invalid).....I watch EVERY task as it starts just to avoid that since these VB tasks will not get beyond HTCondor Ping unless you have a internet speed of over 1Gbps........and 1.5Gbps is one I find to be the lowest that can actually be trusted to start and make all the server connections.

(I also have lots of copies of those VM Console events)

BUT the main thing (since that Sixtrack task doesn't amount to many credits and it was just a point of seeing that happen before) those Theory tasks that are still pending and the way it looks they may never get credits.

I have run thousands of the Theory tasks here and the beta multi-core version and this is the first time they just stayed "pending" for over 2 weeks.

If you check any of them it will also say "can't find workunit" so that means no other computer even ran or got those tasks.

You can see the stderr showing they are all Valid when I ran the tasks.

The reason I think this happened is one of those server crashes here and I was the only one that even got those tasks and finished them.

And after they got the Cern server up again they decided not to send them out again.

Regardless ........if they aren't going to send them out to run on the "wingman" pc then take them off the "pending"......and don't call them Invalid or computer error since I finished them all Valid.

(I'm watching golf right now.........nice birdie by Bubba Watson on the par 3 to take a 2 shot lead on the 14th hole)

Sixtrack Ready To Send queue is empty but other subprojects have plenty of tasks. So Virtual Box it is then.
