The bad news is:OMG - nothing new, though :-( I think it's really necessary to have a real specialist finetune the WMAgent, as already discussed some time ago. |

I was away for about 1 hours, when I returned just now, I realized that all CMS tasks are failing now :-( So the WMAgent is not functioning, as predicted by you anyway :-( |

Yes, no response yet from the WMAgent shepherds, I'm afraid.so, at this point LHC runs dry, so to say: the 3 sub-projects which have enough "unsent" tasks (CMS, LHCb, Theory), won't work because of the defective WMAgent. ATLAS and Sixtrack, not needing the WMAgent, have no new tasks available :-( Edit: just no, a LHCb task got finished. Obviously, it does NOT need the WMAgent? |

[Edit: just no, a LHCb task got finished. Obviously, it does NOT need the WMAgent? As far as I'm aware, WMAgent is a uniquely CMS system; the other experiments have their equivalents (and we also have CRAB for user-submitted jobs, WMAgent is for "production" tasks). ...but hopefully you'll have noticed that the WMAgent is up again (a database problem again; a support ticket has been raised). |

there have not been any CMS tasks for quite a while :-( What's the problem? Is CMS dead? |

There is a break for a while. Alice is since the beginning down! |

Interestingly enough, there were some new tasks available some 5 days ago, as well as 2 days ago. But only a few ones - see here: https://lhcathomedev.cern.ch/lhcathome-dev/cms_job.php It's really a pitty that CMS has more or less come to a halt :-) |

It's really a pitty that CMS has more or less come to a halt :-) If you look back at the earliest posts, there was skepticism by some of the CERN experts that CMS could be made to work at all. I am not sure why that is, but it may be due to the complexity of the server setup. The skeptics may have been right. |

Since there isn't any CMS work can we halt the production of empty WU's? |

Since there isn't any CMS work can we halt the production of empty WU's?good point! I have kept wondering why there are "unsent" tasks shown on the Project Status Page all the time, but if they are downloaded, they fail by lack of jobs. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense :-( |

oh, someone from the CERN people probably read in here - there are no longer any "unsent" tasks shown on the Project Status Page. |
