the queue has run dry

Apologies. The WMAgent has died, and I've not yet roused anyone on the Mattermost channel to restart it.

OK, we are about to run out of jobs, and Alan wants to upgrade our WMAgent to Alma9 Linux, so please set your hosts to No New Tasks until
we're done. Hopefully we won't have the same problem as at my home institute -- something in the Alma9 update falls foul of the corporate firewall rules, and any attempt just hangs...

Thanks Ivan

I do have a large batch running on my CMS machines so I will watch and see if I should keep running those
(I had noticed a few days ago you were running CMS with Alma9 so I talked to my Linux employee friend about that version)

Right, I'm having some problems with my corporate PC, hopefully this gets out...
(It's switched from insert to overwrite?)
Anyway, Alan has updated the WMAgent and I've submitted a new workflow. Look out for new tasks Real Soon Now

...and we're away again. I need to search out how to switch from keyboard insert to keyboard overwrite (or vicky-verky), I use it so little (once in 40 years?) that it's not second nature!

insert key is near del or ent.
There are six keys (2x3). insert is the left on the first 3 keys.

Must admit that keyboard insert to keyboard overwrite is about the only thing I never tried or used
( I also had my Boinc Stats do what yours is doing so I went there and reinstalled the stats box and it worked)

Apologies for the short blackout, I've been having the most terrible weekend. It started with a full glass of wine spilling right into my keyboard, and hasn't got better since... (more details suppressed to save those of a sensitive disposition!)
I'm also hampered by my cellphone supplier switching off 3G connectivity, so I can only connect to 4G at just one bar on the power meter, barely managing 2-300 Kbps data rate.
Finally managed to log in to CERN, after trying all afternoon/night, to see that jobs are flowing. I'll try to submit a new batch of jobs in the next few hours.

Well, the number of running jobs has nearly tripled. Not sure if that means the US election results have been well received, or that it's cold enough now that people need extra heating from their PCs!

There are no WUs available for sixtrack, Theory and Atlas so you are the last fort standing.

Ah, thanks -- I didn't think of that. The other possibility was that the poster we had at CHEP2024 a couple of weeks back generated so much interest that everybody rushed to try it.
