Hi, I have problems with all tasks, which use a VirtualBox after split Atlas@home and lhc. I tried to delete all project data remove projects, reinstall BOINC but the issue is still there. Before split I compute VirtualBox tasks normally, but now It ends with "Compute error". Mabybe should help if you change you settings of VirtualBox machines in system -> chipset to ICH9 (I cannot do that because session is locked) I have latest version of BOINC 7.6.33 x64 and VirtualBox 5.1.16 Thank you very much |

For your ATLAS-tasks I found that you have setup it for 2 cores within the VM. This is not well configured at the moment by the project. It needs 4400MB of memory in stead of 4200MB. Choose in your preference # of CPU's 1. This will take 2600MB of RAM. Or alternatively use an app_config.xml and set the memory usage to 4400MB for a dual core. |

Okay I try that, but I have the same problems with CMS, LHCb and ALICE tasks too. |

Do you have VirtualBox Extension pack installed so you can monitor what's happening within the VM? |

Yes I have the extension pack. If I click on show console of VM so in the VM terminal I see any "kernel panic not syncing fatal exception in interrupt " error |

That's not good! It seems your VM is stuck for whatever reason. You could try to get it run by hand. If you want that: - suspend that task in BOINC with "Leave applications in memory" off. - Disgard with VirtualBox Manager the saved state - Start the VM with VirtualBox Manager (in fact a fresh boot) - Look what's happening When you have the impression that's running normal - Shutdown the VM with save state chosen .. and you can resume the task in BOINC |

Maybe you wasted the daily quota by returning many errors and/or aborts. I think LHCb is not possible anymore for that machine today, but maybe Theory or ATLAS. Set in your preferences Max # jobs to 1 and Max # CPUs also to 1. |

I give up. I'll compute only sixtrack, maybe If I will have a free time so I look at that and try to solve :) Thank you very much for your ideas :) |
