Anyone else seeing this?Yes, same thing here. Never before I had that many inconclusives :-( I'll probably change to a different sub-project |

We've had similar issues during the last few database troubles. I expect it'll solve itself in a couple of days. |

Dear all, sorry for the late reply. This was due to a problem with directory permissions of the new filesystem. Thanks to the IT guys, the issue was solved already yesterday afternoon. We then investigated how to set all the affected results to the state: "Completed, waiting for validation", and managed to do so - at least, this happened to those my PCs produced, i.e. ~30 results. This implies that, once the latest wingman reports the result, all the three (if valid) will be granted credit. Thanks a lot in advance, and happy crunching! Cheers, A. |

Hello maex, thanks for pointing out these two cases. I managed to retrieve the results and the original WU, and the situation is indeed not clear. I am investigating the issue. Thanks for the feedback! Happy crunching, A. |

Thanks for pointing these out. Odd behavior - it seems that the windows machine is not computing results correctly, whereas the linux one does. I am re-running a couple of cases, just to be sure that the linux host is behaving correctly. Due to the long backlog, we will need to wait a bit to get the task re-sent to any wingman |

I have re-run two (randomly picked-up) WUs out of the 19 inconclusive - my CPU times suggest that the linux machine is correct (I don't have access to the result files produced by the volunteers though). The windows host is going crazy: https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/results.php?hostid=10584523 The tasks labelled as 'validation inconclusive' actually exit with an error, eg: https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/result.php?resultid=241473594 I am contacting the owner - the machine seems to be very powerful and valuable. Thanks for pointing this out. A. |

Slightly different take on this issue. This task https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/result.php?resultid=244146071 is a tie breaker for an Inconclusive WU. It was created last weekend and is still unsent at this time. I had just assumed that the tiebreaker was somewhere in the queue and would be issued eventually. But earlier today, I noticed that one of my hosts had requested new tasks and received a No Sixtract Tasks Available message. Just wondering if there may be a problem with resends getting issued. OTOH, maybe the project had temporarily halted issuing all sixtract tasks at the time my host was requesting. |

Hi Stick, yes this is a real pain in the neck. Seen it often. Maybe our support can improve this after other really major scheduling and task distribution are solved. Apologies. Eric |
