Project-Server say no tasks for Theory.the same seems to happen with CMS tasks - the project status page shows only 24 left for download. Is there a major sever disruption somewhere? |

They are back in theory (pardon the pun), but getting them is another matter. They seem to be sending out only twice as many as "Max # CPUs:". If you set it to "unlimited", you get twice the number of cores in use. At least that is the program today. It could be different tomorrow.. |

Theory tasks seem to have a problem again. Only 19 left as ready to send and job graphs are also looking that the numbers are not changing. [edit] I am still able to get some tasks anyway.

I've had some difficulties to get Theory tasks yesterday and today. I get some but less than before the graphs (http://mcplots-dev.cern.ch/production.php?view=status&plots=hourly#plots) show that task performance is dropping. Is everything OK? Is this related to the server update that was announced for yesterday? I didn't notice anything else happening.

Is this related to the server update that was announced for yesterday? I didn't notice anything else happening. Indeed they were. But my problem Host didn't download them either, only Atlas. And I have Atlas set to run only one at a time because of memory limitations, but it downloaded just new Atlas tasks until the limit of max # of tasks (=8) was hit leaving some CPU cores running idle. I had to disallow Atlas and set temporary 'no limits' for max task # to get some 20 sixtrack tasks. Anyway all available CPU cores are running now...

Theory tasks buffer has now gone to 0 on server status page. Also some of the job graphics have stopped updating since yesterday. I have still managed to download some so maybe it is only the status reporting that has problems.

Just for information: the server status page shows a declining number of unsent CMS tasks. Maybe there is some kind of transmission problem back at LHC ? |

Theory numbers on server status page are back to normal and job graphics are updating again.

Seems that the problems on servers accumulate on the weekends. :-(
