Well I/we pride ourselves on getting bit for bit identical results down to the last bit
in full double precision, 0 ULP. I am really soprry about this we think we have stopped
issuing new work and I think you will get credit for some/most work done.
It was my fault. Eric.

I'll have a look at this over the weekend. I am researching random errors on
multi-cpu/thread systems. Eric.

> versions for Linux (64-bit, we can probably do 32-bit as well if there is demand for it)

I've still got a small horde of 32-bit Linux machines that have been happily churning out SixTrack results for years, so please consider this a demand!

(Edit: but they're running under a different username...)

Indeed, running on 32-bit systems is a MUST. Eric.

My 32-bit Linux box is perfectly able to run SixTrack but every time I allow it to download LHC@home tasks is downloads Theory tasks which fail after 10 minutes with kernel panic, so I had to put NNT.

Kernel panic? That's crazy! Configuration?

And yes, I think we'll release a 32-bit Linux version. However when I tried to build it, I found that the flag in BOINC for compiling a 32-bit Linux version on 64-bit Linux (--with-boinc-alt-platform=NAME) does exactly nothing. :/ So I guess I have to get a 32-bit Linux VM then...

Ah, Theory tasks, not SixTrack. Have you asked in their forum?

I have asked in their forum why Theory crashes on my 32-bit Linux PC which is also running Einstein,SETI and SixTrack without any error and got no answer. VBox is 5.1.14.

I've gotten a bunch of resends recently that appear to be from validation inconclusives with an apple-darwin wingman. Progress, perhaps? :-)

I hope so; I am still trying to clean these up, but the system is sorting it out (slowly).
I see a small improvement in the number of active tasks.
Our brand new executables for all platforms are under test. Eric.

Thanks Toby, but it is a different physics problem.
Great to know though, and we shall hopefully soon install
the new SixTrack, all platforms including Mac.
It even looks as if we will be able to test it properly
using sixtracktest. Eric.
(Once current problems are solved.)
