The Windows 10 update KB3206632 introduces an issue that affects virtualization-based security (VBS) and hence may break VM applications. The issue is fixed in the update KB3213522. If you are running Windows 10, please ensure that you have applied the KB3213522 update. Thanks everyone who contributed the treads on this issue. Now that the cumulative patch KB3213986 is out and supersedes both KB3213522 and KB3206632, I would recommend that we install the latest Windows Update patch from now on. |

I applied the cumulative update KB3213986 today, still getting errors "Postponed: VM Hypervisor failed to enter and online state in a timely fashion" on all the projects that use the VM (incl LHC@Home). |

I applied the cumulative update KB3213986 today, still getting errors "Postponed: VM Hypervisor failed to enter and online state in a timely fashion" on all the projects that use the VM (incl LHC@Home). I've always had that message on my Win7 box at work with "modern" versions of VirtualBox. I'll try a Windows update on Monday to see if it's gone now. |

I applied the cumulative update KB3213986 today, still getting errors "Postponed: VM Hypervisor failed to enter and online state in a timely fashion" on all the projects that use the VM (incl LHC@Home). Today I downloaded and installed the latest version of VirtualBox from their website, and it solved the issue. The tasks (from LHC, ATLAS, Cosmology etc...) that kept stalling on the failure above have now completed, and I am not getting any new ones. => update VB. |

Also had ,after Win10 latest update last week, the "VM Hypervisor failed to enter and online state in a timely fashion" coming up on both ATLAS@home and LHC@home, with the VM box included with BOINC . Uninstalled VM Virtual box and installed latest version from web, now happily crunching again. |
