I started running LHCb as my only LHC project (along with Universe and GPUGrid) on an i7-4790 running VBox 5.1.12 under Ubuntu 16.10. I initially selected "No Limit" for both "Max # jobs" and "Max # CPUs", and was able to download five jobs but run only one of them at a time. Then, I set the "Max # CPUs" to seven and rebooted. Now I am able to run all five of the downloaded LHCbs at once.

Someone else pointed out this problem on another CERN project, but I don't recall which one.
