I switched here from vLHC and have a machine which I dedicated to SixTrack tasks only (via profile), but I get them only very seldom: https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/results.php?hostid=10409063 I also have other machines enabled for other projects too and they also get only very few SixTrack tasks. According to server status, there should be plenty of SixTrack tasks available, so I'm wondering what could be the problem. Or is this normal and in fact the SixTrack supply is very limited ? |

Yes, unfortunately the sixtrack tasks are a rare sight.

The theory ones are not so resource intensive and common |

The simplest of questions - there are some Sixtrack WUs currently available but they are not downloading - applies to 3/4 BOINC applications. Have I done something wrong settings-wise? Can anyone help, please? Rogerp "Any fool can appreciate mountain scenery. It takes a man of discernment to appreciate the Fens." [Harry Godwin - pollen analyst - circa 1932] |

Thanks both. I am OK for downloads to my backup pc but my Win10 machine has no WUs for SETI@, LHC@ or Milkyway@. Both pcs are failing to obtain LHC WUs. I shall wait until the maintenance days are over and check again. Roger "Any fool can appreciate mountain scenery. It takes a man of discernment to appreciate the Fens." The sixtrack work is not so common, it normally comes in big batches. I've had 20 sixtrack in last 8 day but 273 theory in last 3 for example |
