In the str read out it mentions you need an extension pack for your VM, has this been installed?
If it has then it is not working, if it hasn't then it probably needs to be installed.

As I have yet to play with a VM (will soon) that is all I can offer.

Your other active machine looks to be doing good work so the problem is just on one machine.

Have a look in VBox, under File/Virtual Media Manager for any images that have a yellow triangle. Release and Remove these.
After that, you may want to detach the project and re-attach to the new https url.

THX for the infos.
Updated VB on one machine, got a valid result after that.
The other has an older version of VB installed, will update this one later this week.

100 percent failure of VB tasks, I installed VB and downloaded tasks, all failed with a VB failed to initialize in a timely manner message. I waited a few days and tried again, same result, if there is a known remedy I will try it.

For your Windows 10 machine the VirtualBox version (5.0.12) is too old.
Try using version 5.1.8 or 5.1.10 and also install the corresponding Extension Pack.

I installed the latest version of VB and the extension. A few tasks ran, the rest failed with a computation error. LHC is my favorite project and I have contributed a very large amount of work over a long period of time. However I run these tasks to benefit the science of the projects, there were requests to develop a GPU application and instead it looks like a decision was made to go all in on VB.
I really have no interest in troubleshooting development of software no one else is using. Best of luck in your efforts.

Running VB applications can be a little more involved and this is something we would like to address in the near future. The Sixtrack application does not use VB and is the default application with the others being opt-in, so it is not necessary to run VB applications if you would still like to support LHC@home.

Unfortunately it is not possible to provide a GPU application as the work is still at the experimental stage.
