Hi all, Sorry if this is the wrong forum. I tried to post on the Windows' but the system didn't allow me to do since I have no credits. My answer to whom has provided that check is: In the case my problem is exactly getting the work task for the first time, then how could I post to the Windows forum? Stall. I've joined this project since a couple of days, but I haven't got any tasks. I also removed and joined the project again without getting anything. Any idea? Thanks |

Hi, do not worry, if you get no tasks immediately. Just look at the server status page and compare the number of running tasks.... Sometimes there are millions of tasks to send and sometimes only a few thousands running. So be patient and wait. ;) |

Hi, I'm member of the Sixtrack project from the 24th of october,2014, but I don't know if it's a problem from the project itself or my boinc manager: in fact, from the 19th of may, I don't download tasks anymore. The journal of events says: 06/06/2016 18:03:35 | LHC@home 1.0 | Sending scheduler request: To fetch work. 06/06/2016 18:03:35 | LHC@home 1.0 | Requesting new tasks for CPU 06/06/2016 18:03:37 | LHC@home 1.0 | Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks 06/06/2016 18:03:37 | LHC@home 1.0 | Project has no tasks available Is there no more task available? Or there are some, but in this case, from where could the problem come? The boinc manager? Or there are few tasks(not enough for the computers available?). I wish to make it clear that I'm participating in some other projects(Vlhc,Einstein, Atlas, Rosetta and Seti), and all works fine. Any help is welcome. Thanks. p.s. :I've just seen that i've posted this message in the wrong forum. |

The server status page gives the number of tasks ready to send, and the number of computers with recent credit (i.e. active on the project). From that you can figure out that unless there are several thousand tasks queued, the odds of your machine getting any work are remote. You'll have to wait with the rest of us for the next bout of jobs. (the odds are actually worse as each computer will try to take several tasks from the queue... ) I don't use BOINC under Windows, but you should be seeing log messages along the lines of "project has no work available" somewhere, if your configuration is correct. |
