I'm guessing that would be 7.2.42, Dennis. The Boinc is fine,it's the Sixtrack bit that's broken.
Same here. All errors after only a few seconds with 451.05 across Windows7 and Xubuntu.

[Edit]
Missed Eric's reply.
I've an old XP machine that doesn't get fired up often but no WUs left to try it out on.

Message 26397 - Posted: 7 May 2014, 5:46:34 UTC - in response to Message 26396.

That helps; before we were failing "Cannot Create Process" etc and not
even getting into execution. I am hot on a problem with the SixTrack
boinc_resolve_filename and unzip of input files.

I'll look at stderr. If you could possibly send a fort.6 and/or fort.93 it
would be a big help.

I just can't reproduce these errors here at CERN.

Thanks. Eric.

No message boxes about invalid executables here ... but : other than sixtrack_win32_4513_sse3.exe it did not create a .zip file Sixout.zip!

p.s.: sixtrack_win32_4513_sse3.exe contains a module version ID string that sixtrack_win32_4515_sse3.exe does not have :

I see the same on W7/Server 2008 R2, across multiple computers

I can't find any log files, looks like sixtrack_win64_4515_pni for me.

The logs are deleted on finishing the result - the upload error is a result of the missing ZIP routine I guess. The short runtime most likely is a result of the missing ZIP module too, it cannot unzip the workunit.

sixtrack_win32_4517_sse3.exe creates output, but not ZIP files on XP.

(error messages are expected, as I didn't supply an input file)

OK in fact; I have removed creation of zip file Sixout.zip
to try and get back in production soonest. We are now
returning only fort.10 as in older working versions.
I will return to testing that later as I think I have a bug
whereby not all the files to be zipped are closed. Eric.

Thanks; looking much better BUT I am still trying to
analyse the errors with 4.5.17 (aka 451.07).
I will try and post some report later. Eric.

I am planning to introduce SixTrack Version 4.5.17
BOINC 451.07 into production today, tomorrow morning latest.
Here is an abbreviated error summary from boinctest . The errors
EXIT_TIME_LIMIT_EXCEEDED occur only for my very short tests
and not for pseudo production and are under investigation.
I therefore estimate some 49 errors for several thousand runs
which I consider acceptable.
Eric.

SIXTRACK: Failure summary by (app version, error)
App version Exit Status Error Count
451.07 windows_x86_64 [pni] -185 (0xffffffffffffff47) ERR_RESULT_START 18
451.07 windows_intelx86 [sse2] 194 (0xc2) EXIT_ABORTED_BY_CLIENT 10
451.07 windows_intelx86 [pni] 203 (0xcb) EXIT_ABORTED_VIA_GUI 9
451.07 windows_intelx86 [pni] 202 (0xca) EXIT_ABORTED_BY_PROJECT 5
451.07 windows_intelx86 [pni] -185 (0xffffffffffffff47) ERR_RESULT_START 3
451.07 windows_x86_64 [pni] 194 (0xc2) EXIT_ABORTED_BY_CLIENT 1

Back in production today 14th May.
I am still seeing some "Create Process" failures but they
seem to be on Windows 7 now. Some kind of
:Access Denied" problem in (various languages :-)
and might be a host configuration issue. Eric.

These errors might be if people installed as a service? or chose not to allow all users on install.

Win Vista and above are much tighter on what can access where.
