September 28 and 29, (2013) CERN had an Open House or OpenDays. Some of the lectures are now online. http://home.web.cern.ch/about/updates/2013/10/cern-talks-open-days-lectures-now-available-watch-online If you were able to make it to Geneva, please share what you saw and enjoyed. I couldn't make it Saturday, but I thoroughly enjoyed tromping around in the rain on Sunday. There must have been at least 100 volunteers guiding and explaining the experiments and the infrastructure. Opendays was extremely well organized - they even provided shuttle buses between the Meyrin Campus, Prevessin Campus, and experiment access sites. I was able to see: Introduction talks and exhibits at the main (globe) entrance CERN Workshops- Fabication, milling and testing The synchrocyclotron Compact Linear Collider Detectors Linear Accelerators Super Proton Cyclotron LHCb experiment My thanks to all those who gave the presentations and guided us around.
