Raspberry Pi is ARM. There is a version of Linux designed for these neat little boards called Raspian. Some of the newer generations of Rasp. Pi also can run Android. However, compiling apps for them need to be done for each OS in order to take full advantage. My cell phone wont work if you compiled the ARM app for Linux. Vice versa for R Pi (linux version). I'm guessing the Android market is larger on a global scale, but couldn't tell you how R Pi stands up to Android devices in the BOINC world. There aren't any real stats for R Pi to go off of.

OT, I did just read that Android now dominates over 50% of the Chinese smart phone market.

Hi,
as I understand we can expect an app for android in the (near) future?
Since yesterday the official berkeley boinc client for android is available via
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/boinc-android-testing

Would be nice to see this project there!
