-Hi there, Tasks in progress 3,857 and only two users were able to report results Tuesday 4/30. Yes, I suspect that there is some sort of server problem - as I (and others) have had results for more than than 24 hours with project backoffs... I had suspended network; powered off PC and powered off router and DSL modem. Get same error as those reported above. Here is a bit of context... All, we have corrected the upload error, thank you for your patience. We make few other changes to the system, upgrading the version of the executable and bringing back more of the generated output files. We are running tests for this now. Igor. skype id: igor-zacharov |

Tasks being stuck by the upload issue don't prevent to receive new work. I've accumulated 3 tasks at 100% and am working on 2 more. ... Somehow I think right after the upload handler log issue will be fixed, we might get another crash from bandwidth/disk space crushed by all the uploads suddenly unleashed. edit: wow, I realized the number of tasks available to send has grown since earlier today.Bad timing for what would usually be good news. |

Tasks being stuck by the upload issue don't prevent to receive new work. BOINC allows a limited amount of new work while uploads are stuck, but there is a safety cut-out - when the number of tasks trying to upload exceeds twice the number of CPU cores in the machine, work fetch will stop. The upload handler will be busy for a while after it's fixed, but not catastrophically so. |
