I've got an older P4 3GHz Hyper Threaded system for which I just began requesting WUs after working through some problems unrelated to BOINC or LHC

LHC has just downloaded 6x66 hr WUs, each with a 6.5 day deadline. Granted my CPU runs BOINC full time, that is still juuuuust barely enough time, assuming nothing else goes wrong or I decide to actually use that computer for something else. And yes, there should be enough time to complete all WUs for other projects by their deadlines, even with this deluge.

Still, does this sound like it is cutting it really close or am I just paranoid ?

TIA

I have a 0.25 day cache on 7 BOINC projects, and never get so many units for each one. Mostly one or two.

That sounds like a bad runtime estimate - it happens. Run times can be variable, so don't assume that all six will behave identically - but I'd be very surprised if any of them took more than 8 - 10 hours on that machine. Forget the 66 hours as scaremongering.
