Why was this task aborted by the server: http://lhcathomeclassic.cern.ch/sixtrack/workunit.php?wuid=1853437 It says it was aborted by user, but I didn't abort it. I was just holding it back until the server was stable again, and just missed 30 minutes of crunching when it was aborted by the server. So why did the server force an abort when it didn't fault out from the download error and wasted 5 hours of already chrunched WU? |

Coincidentally, you've come across a minor bug that I was just working on with the boinc_alpha mailing list - it was first reported yesterday. Your BOINC client v7.0.28 has returned a new code - Exit status 202 (0xca) Unknown error number Next time the website code here is updated, that will be correctly interpreted as "Cancelled by server": until then, I'm afraid we'll have to put up with "Aborted by user". @ Eric: [trac]changeset:25858[/trac] |

We had to do some drastic changes in order to clean up the data base. As the result of disk running full the data base became inconsistent. This is the reason for download and upload errors over the past 5 (or so days). After trying to correct some of it by hand, we decided that it is better to cancel all outstanding work units. Most of them have been processed anyway already and credit assigned. I apologize to people who contributed the computer time but did not get the due credit for it. Please, write me a private message such that we can compensate the credits appropriately. Thank you, Igor. skype id: igor-zacharov |
