Went to website. (Check) Downloaded necessary programs...ie. BOINC and whatever else was downloaded. (Check) Set up account. (Check) Went through "Add Project" wizard. (Check) When to "Control Panel" to verify BOINC was my working screen saver. (Check) Selected preview button. (Check) Message reads "No Tasks" (Check but don't like, understand or am able to fix "No Tasks" message. HELP PLEASE!

Hi,

contrarily to projects like Einstein@Home, LHC doesn't always have tasks ready to be executed by us, this can explain why you didn't get a task. You can look at the server status page to check that. Regards

If you are interested in doing work associated with the LHC then you might also check out the Test4Theory Project. http://lhcathome2.cern.ch/test4theory/ Read the info carefully as it makes use of the Oracle Virtual Box running on your machine and BOINC is just the interface between your PC and the work units coming from CERN.
