If you would like to keep your computer busy doing work for CERN and the LHC then be aware that Sixtrack's sister project, Test4Theory@home, has removed the need for an invitation to join. The doors are wide open for anybody to join, no invitation required.

Before you attach to Test4Theory, please got to the Join Us page and follow the instructions for your operating system. Test4Theory is a BOINC project but there are some additional steps you must take before you attach your computer to the project. Briefly, you must install VirtualBox and OS X users must run the enabling script.

One piece of information available in the instructions is now obsolete. 64 bit Linux users do not have to install the ia32-lib package or a 32 bit BOINC client because Test4Theory now issues a 64 bit Linux application.
