I just looked at the server status, and there's no work to send? I hope this is temporary...?

two new studies will go in tomorrow. I have been holding them back to see
the result of the sixtrack version upgrade. So far it is good. Also the
numerical comparison between the versions holds.

I've been getting work on a regular basis. Currently crunching two SixTrack 530.10 Tasks (34+ hours remaining) and have three (1x530.10 & 2x530.09) in the queue.

Windows XP SP3, BOINC 6.12.34, Intel Core2 Quad.

... it has been 2+ days ....

If it gets to 2+ months, it might be reason to complain :-).

This project provides work in batches. The scientists need work for a batch finished, returned and analysed so that the parameters for the next batch can be determined. It is quite normal for there to be some time needed for this to happen before a new one can be launched. The best way to minimise this time is to minimise the time it takes to clean up the dregs of the previous batch.
Cheers,
Gary.

Grab 'em while you can! Tasks ready to send as of 20 Oct 2011 16:52:16 UTC: 42,621

I see your 42K and raise you 102K, the pot is now 144K.

I've noticed no one complainting in the last two days, so I had to check.

So for now there is NO "no more work".

Hehehe, I can't raise as much but it's continuing to grow:
Tasks ready to send 147,627
Tasks in progress 28,657
Plenty for everyone, in the meantime I'll join the tumble weed in a wander about :D

Yes I remember back in the early days here when guys like Keith and I would see no tasks available but if we asked for more enough times we would still get some work.

Now days things have been running much smoother and tasks make it to my place with no problems.......and the credits are much better than the 0's and .6's we used to get

Hmmmm - the server status shows 18,284 ready to send,
but I'm not getting any.

I guess I'll wait until the other three are done, and check again.

I yust recieved a new WU so there are stil WU's left, i think that all WU's that are now left are resend ones that only get sended to hosts that are know to produce fast and valid results, at least thats the idea.

Same here :(

No explanation in sched_reply_lhcathomeclassic.cern.ch_sixtrack.xml, just "No work sent".

I keep getting:
Sun 30 Oct 2011 10:04:21 PM CDT LHC@home 1.0 Message from server: (won't finish in time) BOINC runs 98.9% of time, computation enabled 99.6% of that

I have an AMD Phenom II x4 965 Liquid cooled - 8 Gig of ram Running Linux on SATA II raid arrays... What do you mean it won't finish it time??? It doesn't get too much faster than that
