I have just been taking a look at some of your messgaes
and I have to thank you for your patience and often
complimentary remarks.

I myself was actually able to look at Server Status and
this is most encouraging. Really shows me what is going on.
....

So far so good, in fact great. bigmac

And thanks, bigmac, for your perstistence. Many here will remember your efforts with LHC@home from the start.

John.

It is suggested that you not reset but Detach and then Re-attach using the url http://lhcathomeclassic.cern.ch/sixtrack/

It originally didn't work for me but after some more Admin adjusting all is now working, pity the credit is so poor (mostly 10 or less cr/h).

But I have already returned work under the new url, there should be no need to detach.

Well, change that to: you definitely should detach/re-attach. New WUs are pouring in now. Thanks!

Except if you read the admin posts (they might be in another thread), they moved to a new server and made an error by leaving an old reference in one file, once boinc gets certain info it caches it, and the only way to clear this info is detach, then reattach which will get all new info that does not contain the errant info.

I think Igor told me or posted it.

I tired quite a few solutions myself, some seemed to work but that may have been by luck that that client did not cache the piece of info throwing it into a spasm, proabally through non recent contact with the project.

The only real thing that seems to work is detach+reattach.
