I was reading in Messages in BOINC Manager on one of my machines and it said LHC is asking for work for GPU. I do not crunch on GPU, in BOINC Manager Preferences the GPU box is NOT checked. I looked in Computing Preferences and LHC@home Preferences on the project\'s web page and I saw nothing about GPU in any profile or anywhere else. How do I get this fixed? Thanks Please check out my blog http://sciencesprings.wordpress.com http://facebook.com/sciencesprings |

How do I get this fixed? Upgrade BOINC manager to newest versions or go back to old, which know nothing about GPU. |

metalius- Thanks for your reply. I did the update, I will see what happens. I now have a further question, since I have LHC@home on 5 machines, I checked the installs on all of them and any work history. One machine and one only an i7-920 has very recent multiple WU\'s completed and validated. The other four show nothing since 2008. What can I look for to see if there are problems on those machines. I am very enamored of the LHC and CERN, so I would like to do as much work for LHC@home as I can, If you can guide me as to what to look for, that would be great. Welcome to the club. There hasn\'t been much work here ever, and we\'re all chompin\' at the bit to crunch some. As far as I know, there\'s no compatibility issues. If you can run other projects, you can run LHC. |
