How About creating new Applications for linux machines? There is a great community of those who use linux 32bit or 64bit. I dont get any tasks but have three linux machines running. There is potential; don't you need it? Looking forward to new Linux-Applications |

How About creating new Applications for linux machines? There is a great community of those who use linux 32bit or 64bit. Why? There is not even enough work available to keep existing Win machines interested, let alone busy! |

How About creating new Applications for linux machines? There is a great community of those who use linux 32bit or 64bit. It seems to me that if time is going to be spent creating a new "application" it should be targeted at running computations on a Windows machine GPU (cuda23). Most modern machines have a very high performance GPU setting on the graphics card and for much of the time it is setting idle. SETI@Home pumps jobs targeted at the GPU quite successfully. (Not that I have anything against Linux.) |

This is a quote from a post by dr. Ben Segal of CERN: Please note that the new LHC project I have referred to is not designed to run on GPUs but uses virtualization. Tullio |
