I was really hoping to see something from this machine, but I\'ll probably be dead before we get there.

Wave upon wave of demented avengers march cheerfully out of obscurity into the dream.

According to CERN on Twitter, the BBC article simply restates what was already announced in February. In other words, this is not a new setback - it\'s what they decided was the best way forward a month ago.

This has always been the plan run at 7TeV for 2 years, shut down fix a few things then get back on for the 14TeV.

This is what the current LHC@home work is related to, they need to model the magnets at 14TeV with the new info we have from running at the latest energies.
