Why Does This Board Introduce Spurious Characters In Posts?

Such as when one types in an apostrophe as in the following partial sentence: There\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s a big difference in computing time. One has to go in afterwards to edit them out. I don\\\'t see any way of contacting the board\\\'s owner so posting it here in the hope someone will fix this annoying glitch. Peter Toronto, Canada |

It\'s a bug in the (unreleased alpha) server software they\'re using. It should be gone as soon as they update to a newer version. |

Upgrade of the server code is on the to-do list and will be implemented soon. That should kill a few things not just the spurious characters. |
