Firstly, I would like to thank the developers of LHC@home for the chance to contribute to the LHC and associated projects. It is an outstanding achievement, both in engineering and scientific terms, escpecially given that LHC is running in excess of 1TeV. Thanks also for the forum moderators and other project involveds for the occasional update. Mostly I would like to ask the LHC@home developers for the vaguest of timeframes for new work units. I have had LHC@home idle for a long time and note that others on the fora have started to become impatient. I crunch for around 7 other BOINC projects, so the downtime is not wasted, but a revival of LHC@home would be timely. Perhaps the New Year will bring some news! Ben |

... for the vaguest of timeframes for new work units...The vaguest of timeframes can be found in the \"Whatever happened\" thread. The suggestion is that there will be no more work units. Look for bigmac posts. |

Look for bigmac posts. From everything I can gather, the LHC will be shut down later this week and then be offline until February. Once CERN gets it running to it\'s full potential, there will be work to crunch that will tax the computing capacity of the civilized world. . . . it is only then that I look for work to be ported here for the BOINC\'ers.
