Hi folks, new here.

I realise that LHC was down for a long time due to technical problems at launch but how is it doing right now?

I guess I joined LHC@home at the wrong time as I still haven't received any work units.

EDIT: I just noticed a few posts regarding this elsewhere, so I guess it's just a question of waiting for the project to get started.

Thanks.

Welcome aboard Peter!
Most of us are just waiting to be a part of a highly antisipated science project that can tell us more about our Universe than ever known before. Although most of us are not directly involved with the LHC at CERN, we enjoy in hypothetical discussions of events related to failures that have occured to the promises of discoveries that can bring mankind new energies and new methods of bringing food to our tables. The sky is the limit, so if you want to share your thoughts, hopes, and or visions of how this experiment will effect our lives then you are at the right place. Most of us are just antisipating the launch of particles in the LHC again.
It's amazing whow something so small can be so significant and fascinating.
