Hi, I\'m at work and my machine cannot seem to ever connect to LHC. Could someone explain what modifications I can make to BOINC to allow it to connect. I do not know the IP or name of our firewall.

Hello Matthew

I note (as at the time of writing) that you have a total credit of 102 and RAC of 3. How did you earn these?

To continue, and assuming the one computer on your profile is in fact not the one you are trying to connect, does the work machine connect to any other BOINC projects?

Apart from preventing malicious attacks, viruses etc, firewalls are there to prevent unauthorised use. Do you have the necessary permission to run BOINC from work? If so, then contact the network administrator to assist. It will be nigh on impossible for us to sort it out.

Please be aware that LHC@home has had a very lean run of late and it seems the prospects for the project are bleak. See this post:
