I was just curious if someone could explain what the different prefixes for the WU names meant. I've had quite a few up until today that all started with "w2_lhc270," but just recently I've gotten some starting with "wma1z."

Anyone have any idea what they mean?

Well, before I start, I want to state categorically -- I am not affiliated with LHC (other than processing Work Units).

Now - as far as the different WU labels, I would think that those with the "wma" header apply to the Muon Accelerator; those with "LHC" in them are probably for the collider as a whole (possibly fine tuning magnet strength, or alignment, etc)

Again, this is just my guess on your question ...
