Why is this so hard to solve? |

I was able to merge a duplicate host (thanks to a Boinc stuff up) back into the my one and only computer today with no further problems. |

It is still the problem that we cannot merge hosts on LHC that can be merged on Seti or Einstein or Rosetta since they're all on much newer codebases of the BOINC server. Do the admins have any plans to upgrade to a new version which will let us merge hosts with slightly different reported hardware names (ie some from before, some from after when BOINC started reporting supported instruction sets in hardware names) in the near future? It really messes up stats on 3rd party sites and would also clean up the LHC BOINC hosts database a lot if we could all start merging hosts down even more. Thanks for bringing the project back to life either way! |

Hello, I would like to know if you have a resolution for the project's apparent inability to "merge" hosts on your "to-do" list I have a quad that is showing twice on your project; thank Boinc. I have currently taken it off-line as it is causing split cpid issues. This morning I have four different cpids at Boincstats. Please acknowledge and advise All The Best Francis Butts |
