Yes, it's great!! We are processing LHC WUs for the first time in over a year. The system of some WUs for everyone seems to be working to bring 'old' crunchers back (like us!)...:)...Cheers, Rog.

My loyalties used to be all LHC@home, but then MalariaControl.net came along and my loyalties have changed. Now I'm torn between trying to maintain my position here and my postion there....what to do, what to do?

Live long and BOINC!

Sure Tank master... They are rather large and heavy to be posting to the USA.

I'd rather leave the servers here in the UK and post myself i have always wanted to vist the USA - never had the time or money (at the same time) though !

:0)

This is sure a nice Christmas present we are receiving at this time. Where is all this working coming from?

Indeed very nice :)

Must be the first time since years that I see my Network on full steam with LHC work again.

Hi folks!

Excuse me, but I don't see any WU's :(
I have three machines all waiting for LHC work, and nothing... nothing for months.
I've joined this project for more than a year, back than it had some work.

Maybe I have to reconnect again? Am I using the correct http address?

My BOINC says this in its messages:
Dec 18 11:50:12 2007|lhcathome|URL: http://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/; Computer ID: 9647248; location: work; project prefs: default

My account is alive, my client connects regularly to LHC (always out of work), I'm using BAM as account manager.
Thanks!

I can't see any reason why you wouldn't be getting work unless the machines aren't up & connected when the work's around. It's not a continuous stream, just fits and starts.
Check that you don't have "no new work" set.
If nothing else works try resetting the project from your client.

Once again receiving many WU, however with a completion time of 43 minutes or so the work units are being competed anywhere from .81 seconds to 2.2 seconds, with 00.0 credits. Must of had over forty of them within a two hours period. This is on all my machines that are receiving them.

Any ideas what is the cause?

The previous work units a day or two ago gave what I consider normal credits.

Hm, the batches yesterday and before had about a 10% ratio of those 0.x Seconds WorkUnits.

Today, I'm seeing exclusively those, also seems those don't go smooth somehow (the total number of "WorkUnits in progress" has barely been sinking).

One would expect those to run down these numbers within a few hours. Looking at the server status, the number jumps back up all the time, as if these 0 Second WorkUnits didn't really count correctly when finished (?)

...needless to say, these 0's have piled up in the Pending Credit list quite a bit (almost 400).

I believe they generated more during the day today, which is why you may not have seen the "in progress" go down by much. I'm busy with Cosmology and Einstein, so I didn't bother to try to catch any of the batch...

Anyway, since you're here, why did you have your entire AMD fleet offline for a while? I had looked to do some comparisons over on Einstein for S5R3, and I notice you've removed the AMD X2 4400+ systems you had...

I was not at home for a longer period of time, therefor the whole Network was shutdown.

I returned home just 2 weeks ago, and due to energy prices exploding here (once again) am in the process of eliminating all old 89W TDP CPUs.
(saved upto 40Watt per System going from old So939 Athlon64 X2's to G2 Stepping AM2 Athlon X2 BE-2350/2400, these things rock for power saving)

After another short Xmas leave, I'll be on full steam again on Einstein before January (unless LHC has more work to do ;) )
