Hiya, could someone please update the home page to link to the new version of BOINC and not version 4, it has been available for a long time now, and is a lot easier to control.

This is a weird one as it is not just a link we manually put in. A PHP script pulls the link from the database which pulls it from the ether and displays it on the website. We are looking at the mechanism of how it does that to get it to point to the newest version.

I have to agree. I was going to say the same thing but see someone beat me to it. I wasted a bit of time trying to get the one posted here to work at all. I downloaded the latest from the berkley site and it worked on the first try.

There are various threads on the Setiathome Number Crunching forum
about computers still running Old Boinc versions, v4.x.x underclaiming
Credit by about a third, and there are still some computers running Boinc v3.x.x,
and if you get paired with them you get no Credit for any work done!
So Please change the links on your download page to a newer version.
