Link to the crashed result. I'm assuming it's this result http://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/result.php?resultid=9340373 "The session was canceled. (0xf0) - exit code 240 (0xf0)" Myself, my shiny new vista machine is giving errors such as http://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/result.php?resultid=9258835 "- exit code 1073807364 (0x40010004)" which is probably a separate issue. I'm not the LHC Alex. Just a number cruncher like everyone else here. |

Myself, my shiny new vista machine is giving errors such as http://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/result.php?resultid=9258835 1. Where is BOINC installed? Vista doesn't like it in the Program files directory. I've got it installed to c:\\boinc and it works fine. 2. Are you manually shutting down BOINC before shutting down the computer? The super speedy shut down Vista does doesn't really give BOINC enough time to do its housekeeping. Registry Hack/Workaround here. 1. Where is BOINC installed? Vista doesn't like it in the Program files directory. I've got it installed to c:\\boinc and it works fine. The failed WU's were when I had boinc installed to Program Files. Yes, I right click on the boinc icon in the bottom right taskbar, and select 'exit', so there goes my computer's quota rating. For the original poster's issue, he's not running Vista. I'm not the LHC Alex. Just a number cruncher like everyone else here. |

The reason is, the only internet results to the problem are Fortran related, and, I saw an error on an LHC wu. If someone here got the same thing, all ok. - If not, I may have hacker-ware? ps the first reply eased my heart enough. ----------------------- Click to see my tag My tag SNAFU'ed?
