This WU crashed, when I tried to maximize the graphics window in Windows XP. It said something like "Cannot create new surface. This program will exit." or something like that. Result.

I think we still need LHC@home Alpha project.

Looking into that crash.

LHC@home Alpha IS a possibility IF we feel we need it just at the moment we don't, there is work being planned which I can see Alpha playing a part in but we'll see.

This problem is well known and I have had it earlier. I have it too with the graphics of climateprediction.net.

Seems to be a BOINC problem on reservoing enough intermediate RAM storage for big screens. I had not tested it with a smaller screen resolution of 640*480 but I would like to have someone to test it.
Happy crunching !
