Hi there As of today LHC is only running on Windows and Linux - any chance there'll be an OSX version in the future? I'd love to stay connected to the project on the offchance I can help but the message "Message from server: platform 'i686-apple-darwin' not found" isn't going to get me very far Cheers Dave |

I don't want to get your hope up too much... but we are starting to look into this. Alex |

Hi, there... I'm not an expert nor a programmer, but I'm noticing a lot of boinc projects compile successfully their binaries for new Intel Macs ;) |

Hi, there... That's not the issue it's down to the Fortran compiler was not available for the Mac and we are looking into this to see can it be resolved. I for one am a Mac user so would like to be able to run it on my computer too. |

Eh? I've been running GNU Fortran on my Powerbook for years; GNU compilers for PowerPC and for Intel support both f77 and f90; and there are compilers from the chip manufacturers (IBM and Intel, respectively) that run fine under Mac OSX. Hi, there... |

A quick google search of Sixtrack and Fortran reveals http://lhc-collimation-project.web.cern.ch/lhc-collimation-project/code-tracking.htm "... FORTRAN language and MUST be compiled using the Lahay Fortran Compiler LF95." I'm not the LHC Alex. Just a number cruncher like everyone else here. |

Exactly Lahey must be used and that doesn't work on Macs whether Classic, Intel or PPC |
