There's a poll for BOINC at Berkeley:

http://boinc.berkeley.edu/poll.php

Several volunteer computing projects, including Climateprediction.net, Einstein@home, and SETI@home, use software called BOINC. If you participate in projects like this, we request that you answer the following questions. This will help BOINC-based projects increase participation and achieve greater scientific results.

Please answer as many questions as you want, then go to the bottom and click OK. If you previously completed the survey but your answers have changed, please complete it again - your new answers will replace the old ones.

Yeah, I did this after a prod at Rosetta, but I'm replying to make a point that would probably be "moderated" at another project site, I think you know what I mean.

There has been a whole spate of "moderations" over there. Several quite innocuous posts have been removed.

Either these are over zealous moderator actions that the project team are not noticing, or they are formally approved removals. I don't know which is worse actually. If you browse the recent threads, you'll find a whole bunch of odd, disjointed, almost senseless threads, because the salient posts have been deleted.

Wave upon wave of demented avengers march cheerfully out of obscurity into the dream.
