Hey ya'll...

Why is there never any work from LHC@home? Is my computer hooked up to this project correctly? Einstein@home and the other projects all grind right along.

thanks.

From the FAQ (http://lhcathome.cern.ch/FAQ.html#1.4) :

1.4 Server says out of work, why?
LHC@home calculations consist of many separate studies. Some studies can be started only after the previous have been analysed. We are doing our best to give out work at all times, but sometimes we just need to analyse old results before we can give out more. When this happens, please contribute to some other BOINC project(s) until we are able to submit new work. (Of course you can always participate to many BOINC projects simultaneously). You can find list of public BOINC projects here.

I've also never seen a forum cracking under the strain like that. 65 concurrent connections, and impossible to read any messages, much less post one!

Who's taking bets on how long this lot last before the WU available go down to zero again and we can all go back to moaning about the spoilers who hog as many as possible?

Makes a change from tennis and football, anyway.

Hm, never had a Problem with the Forum (so far).

I experienced another bad thing though, almost 60% of all Work I downloaded crapped out on me. Had to reset the Project on many Systems (last ditch maneuver), hope it works now :/
